Putting it all together - and getting you to do some analysis
It's quite important you apply what you have learned so far for it to stick. Here is a link to a data set on Kaggle (you should keep an eye on Kaggle for so much more if you want to level up your data skills). This is the salary information of thousands of adults and contains their age, education, occupation, race, gender, marital status, etc.
Using this data set, try to draw conclusions on how different variables impact the salary levels of individuals.
Ask questions like:
- are segments with higher incomes dominated by a certain race, gender, or occupation?
- does a person of a certain race or gender that is less represented get any advantage by a higher educational qualification?
You could even explore other interesting questions around the relation between race and marital status, or race and occupation, marital status and occupation, gender and occupation, etc.
Hope you have been having fun so far.
We will be taking things to the next level from here. Brace up.
